Leupold and the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) have joined forces to develop a line of riflescopes specifically designed for serious whitetail hunters – the QDManager series.
Based on Leupold’s VX-L models of riflescopes, the QDManager scopes feature the now-familiar Light Optimization Profile – the concave crescent in the bottom of the objective lens and bell. This feature allows large objective riflescopes to be mounted low, providing exceptional comfort and correct ergonomics in the shooting position, which in turn improve target acquisition. In addition to the design’s excellent ergonomics and superior light transmission, the riflescopes feature illuminated reticles for quicker, easier targeting at dusk and dawn.
The QDManager riflescopes are available in 3.5-10x50mm, 4.5-14x50mm, 3.5-10x56mm and 4.5-14x56mm Long Range. All have a matte-black finish and feature the QDMA identity on the Leupold Golden Ring and the QDMA logo medallion.
The series features Leupold’s illumination system with 11 brightness settings and variable intensity rheostat.
“The unique design of our VX-L riflescopes make them ideal for the low-light conditions when deer hunting is at its best,” said Mike Slack, Leupold’s marketing communications manager. “The partnership is a natural fit – America’s optics authority and the nation’s leading whitetail deer management organization. A portion of each sale will be donated to QDMA to help ensure healthy, ethically managed deer populations.”
The riflescopes’ key features include:
- Leupold’s Index Matched Lens System with new blackened lens edges for maximum light transmission, clarity and contrast. Leupold also applies its DiamondCoat™ lens coatings to each VX-L for additional abrasion resistance and to further enhance light transmission.
- Leupold’s new Second Generation waterproofing which utilizes an exclusive argon/krypton gas blend to keep the scope fog proof as well as waterproof.
- Dual-spring titanium nitride coated stainless steel adjustment system, designed for smooth, precise operation of the internal moving parts while providing exceptional strength and durability. The adjustments are backed by Leupold’s most rugged and durable erector system.
