(GunReports.com) – Many of the country’s Olympic team shooting slots have been filled recently.

As expected, three-time Olympian SFC Daryl Szarenski, 43, of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) earned the first slot on the 2012 U.S. Olympic men’s air pistol team at USA Shooting’s Olympic Trials for Airgun on 25 February. The 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, Jason Turner, 37, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, placed second with an aggregate score of 2519.6 and earned the second available men’s Olympic air pistol team slot.

Jamie Gray, 27, of Phenix City, Alabama, captured the top spot in the 2012 USA Shooting Olympic Trials for Airgun in the women’s air rifle division at Camp Perry on 25 February. She was joined by junior Sarah Scherer, 21, of Woburn, Massachusetts, winner of the remaining slot on the women’s team, just six-tenths of a point behind Gray in total aggregate scoring, 1792.7 to 1792.1.

In men’s air rifle, veteran Olympian, Matt Emmons, 30, of Browns Mills, New Jersey and first-time Olympian, Jonathan Hall, 24, of Carrollton, Georgia, will represent the United States in the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England this summer. Emmons’ final two-match total was 1295.6 and Hall’s 1293.3.
