(GunReports.com) — Kowa Sporting Optics’s newest product is the TSN-IP4S iPhone adapter for the iPhone 4 and 4S models. It’s an easy way for digiscopers who also own the iPhone 4/4s to capture photos and videos through Kowa BD, SV, and YF 30 to 50mm binoculars and Kowa TSN-880/770 spotting scopes.
The adapter comes with two standard rings, one for the 88/77 series scopes and one for the BD/SV/YF series of binoculars. Additional lens rings may be purchased as well and are easily installed on the adapter in seconds.
The aluminum adapter rings are lined with a soft material that makes them fit snugly on the eyecups without damaging your favorite Kowa optics, while the lightweight adapter is made of an epoxy resin material that will not damage the finish of your iPhone.
Kowa includes a neck strap that attaches to the iPhone bracket. You also have the option to connect the adapter to the Kowa TSN DA10 (sold separately). The scope adapter ring measures 56 millimeters. The binocular adapter ring measures 41 millimeters. This adapter will work with the iPhone 4/4S and the Kowa 77/88mm zoom eyepieces, Swarovski ATS/ATM zoom eyepieces, Vortex Razor HD zoom eyepiece, and Zeiss 15-45/20-60x zoom eyepiece. It does not work with the Zeiss 15-56/20-75x zoom eyepiece or compact binoculars.
