Leupold’s most advanced hunting riflescopes to date – the VX-7™ – are now available in long-range models.
The new models of the groundbreaking scope are the VX-7L 3.5-14x56mm Long Range and VX-7L 4.5-18x56mm Long Range. The two VX-7L models feature Leupold’s Xtended Twilight Lens System and Light Optimization Profile – the cut-crescent shape made famous by the VX-L. The crescent allows for maximum Total Light Throughput, yet allows a lower mount for proper cheek weld and faster target acquisition.
The VX-7L Long Range riflescopes feature a 34mm maintube that, when combined with the SpeeDial adjustment system, provides exceptional reticle travel for very long shots. The riflescopes also offer Leupold’s Ballistics Aiming System reticles, and dual erector springs for superior precision and durability. All VX-7Ls include 34mm PRW rings.
Other distinguishing features of the VX-7L Long Range riflescopes include:
- The Xtended Twilight Lens System’s provides the shooter with superior light transmission for world-class, low-light performance particularly in the bluish-purple light of dawn and dusk when game is most active. It also has blackened lens edges that virtually eliminate residual refraction and minimize the effects of stray light for maximum photopic transmission, clarity and contrast.
- Leupold’s exclusive Second Generation Argon/Krypton gas blend is the last word in thermal shock resistance, and keeps the riflescope fog proof as well as waterproof. The Ballistics Aiming System’s (BAS) ballistics indicator ring provides users with a setting ring which includes a visual indicator for quick returns to favorite settings or to a BAS reticle power position.
The VX-7L 3.5-14x56mm Long Range is available in XT Duplex, Boone and Crockett Big Game and Varmint Hunter’s reticles. Reticle options for the VX-7L 4.5-18x56mm Long Range include Fine Duplex, Boone and Crockett Big Game and Varmint Hunter’s.
The riflescopes feature Leupold’s SpeeDial system which allows hunters faster, easier and more precise adjustments through assisted lift and lock dials, and an integral cap that allows for a secure stowage position. This unique dial design allows shooters to adjust for windage and elevation easily and securely – without the need for tools.
