Sturm, Ruger Company’s new Ruger American Rimfire bolt-­action rifles chambered in .22 LR or .22 Magnum carry over several design innovations from the company’s other rifles, including rotary magazines, adjustable triggers, and interchangeable stocks.

Advanced Technology International (ATI) is now shipping aluminum fluted magazine extensions for select Remington, Winchester, and CZ 12-gauge shotguns.

Bushnell Outdoor Products has introduced two new red-dot sights designed for AR-style rifles. The AR Optics TRS-25 and First Strike HiRise sights include a riser block that elevates the sight to the proper mounting height for a flattop rifle. The integrated HiRise base can be quickly mounted on a Weaver-style base or Picatinny rail.

Bluing, as done in the good old days, was essentially a hand-applied process that took time to accomplish. The end result of the express rust-bluing process I'll describe here looks and wears just as well or better than some of the methods used in days gone by. In fact, it may even wear better than a few of the so-called "modern bluing methods" used on today's production firearms.

Spanish-made SPS high-capacity magazines for 38 Super, 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP MAC 3011, SPS Pantera, and Vista and Para-Ordnance pistols are now available in 12- to 29-round capacities. The SPS magazines also fit STI and SVI pistols.

They were both delivered to the store without sights unless otherwise specified, and neither was designed by John M. Browning.
