Kel-Tec PMR 30 Review

0

When Kel-Tec CNC Industries brought out its PMR-30 semi-auto pistol chambered in 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, we immediately wanted to compare it to FN’s 5.7, a much more expensive handgun. Also, the FiveSeven was chambered in 5.7x28mm, a much more expensive and hard to find round.

We bought a Kel-Tec PMR-30 for $425. On initial inspection, we found the PMR-30 to be slightly lighter than the 5.7, and it had a 30-round magazine, 10 more than the FN’s 20-round magazine.

Everyone who shot the PMR-30 loved it. Most shooters said, “It feels like a toy, it is so light.”

It uses a double-stack magazine that holds 30 rounds and fits completely in the grip of the pistol.

The trigger is a crisp single action with an over-travel stop.

We originally thought that the Kel-Tec PMR-30 might be considered a poor man’s 5.7, but our test team showed the PMR-30 to be the better gun overall. Watch the video below:
