Sturm, Ruger & Company’s new Ruger Redhawk revolver is chambered to shoot both .45 Auto and .45 Colt cartridges. Designated as Model Number 5032, the new gun’s suggested retail is $1029.
The Ruger Redhawk revolver was Ruger’s first double-action revolver specifically designed for the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge. It embodies many advanced features such as a triple-locking cylinder, a unique single spring mechanism for a smooth, light trigger pull and all stainless steel construction.
The Redhawk has been one of the flagship revolvers in the Ruger line for 35 years, and this is the first time the company has produced a Redhawk capable of shooting both a revolver cartridge and a pistol cartridge from the same cylinder.
The Ruger Redhawk revolver was Ruger’s first double-action revolver designed for the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge. It has a triple-locking cylinder and is made of all satin-stainless steel.
It weighs 44 ounces empty and holds six rounds. The Redhawk is 9.5 inches long.
This new model features a round-butt frame to make it more compact.

An adjustable black blade rear sight and red ramp front sight have been praised in previous Gun Tests evaluations.
The revolver ships with three full-moon clips that act as both a speed loader for the .45 Auto rounds and aid in the ejection of spent cartridges.
