(GunReports.com) — NRA’s Education & Training Department will offer two new courses this summer: Defensive Pistol and Certified Advanced Pistol Instructor.
Defensive Pistol is meant as second step for those taking either the Basic Pistol or FIRST Steps Pistol course. Purpose: You know how to aim, you know how to fire, now you can learn how to react when you really need to put those lesson to use. NRA Certified Advanced Pistol Instructors will teach the course.
To become an NRA Certified Advanced Pistol Instructor, you first must achieve an NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home rating. Then you’ll need to take advanced level training on your own, such as courses provided by outfits such as Gunsite, Thunder Ranch, LFI, MAG, or NRA LEAD.
